- The Neubauer American Spring Semester - Introduction to Medicine program is open to pre-med or other pre-health undergraduate students.
The semester is an intensive introductory program in medicine combining the wider interpersonal aspects of clinical medicine in Israel, taught in English by distinguished Technion professors from the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine.
The Neubauer American Spring Semester – Introduction to Medicine program is designed for individuals seeking to enter the medical profession. As part of the academic curriculum, students will be exposed to clinical research to gain an understanding of science and of scientific method in a world where medical practice is rapidly evolving, and learn about the various facets of the doctor-patient relationship as well as ethical aspects of the medical practice through real-life clinical experiences. Of key benefit to students is their exposure through this program to advanced clinical practices and cutting-edge research coming out of the Technion and Israeli academia and industry on the whole – scientific work which has propelled Israel as a world-leader in both basic and applied research, clinical medicine, and as a pioneer of innovative approaches and technologies for the benefit of patients (such as personalized medicine).
