Program Description:

Stony Brook's graduate degree programs in Music have grown out of an unusual partnership between the academy and the conservatory. We favor interaction among musical disciplines that have traditionally been kept separate, and encourage the development of professional competence in more than one area of musical study. The music of the 20th century is a particular emphasis of both performance and academic programs.
