New Paltz is a public university and can not provide Scholarships and/or Financial aid to non New York residents.

The Master of Science in Art Education is designed for art educators who wish to reflectupon and improve their own teaching practice in the visual arts.

The program offers a selection of options upon which a candidate may select to focus. An individually designed, cohesive course of study is approved by the candidate's graduate committee.

The Master of Science in Art Education may serve as a basis for a doctoral degree; it can also lead to permanent certification to teach art in New York State.
