- Program Description:
The Early Childhood Special Education program will prepare you for work in a home visit program for parents of infants and toddlers with disabilities or as a teacher public or private preschool program for children with and without disabilities. Your learning will be guided by philosophies that support the interactive nature of child-environment exchanges and their importance to children's ongoing developmental progress. You will learn assessment, evaluation, child intervention strategies and family interaction strategies, to aid you in identifying and providing services for young children with disabilities. Master's candidates will learn critical skills in research and comprehensive literature review.

- A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75. Three letters of recommendation. GRE-Not required. Written Essay Personal statement. Language testing scores(International Students).
- International Requirements:
- In addition to submitting an application, application fee, GRE/GMAT scores if required by the program, and 3 letters of recommendation, international students must also submit scores from a language admission exam and financial documentation showing the ability to cover the cost of graduate study. Qualifying language admission exams and required scores are as follows: TOEFL: 550 on the paper exam or 79 on the iBT with no subscore under 17; Michigan Placement Test: 80; IELTS: 6.5.
