- Master of Science in Education - Spring Hill’s Master of Science in Education program is designed to build on a student’s previous preparation as a professional educator. Key themes of the program include a focus and commitment to service and learning; dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of students; and skill development to teach in a culturally diverse society. The curriculum provides a solid background in students’ chosen teaching field and courses that further develop knowledge in the art of teaching, research-based best practices, and reflective practice, while fostering critical thinking skills allowing graduates to bring well informed perspectives on educational practices and policies into the workplace. Successful completion of the program leads to Alabama Class A certification. The program includes 33 semester hours of graduate-level coursework. Master of Arts in Teaching - Spring Hill’s Master of Arts in Teaching program is designed to provide high-quality preparation for students with a previously earned baccalaureate degree, in a field other than education, to become effective teachers and educational leaders in today’s competitive and challenging job market. The curriculum provides a solid background in students’ chosen teaching field and courses that make students knowledgeable and competent in the art of teaching, while critical thinking skills are fostered allowing graduates to bring well informed perspectives on educational practices and policies into the workplace.
