The Ph.D. Programme in Technology Policy and Socio-Economic Development was created in 1991 inorder to co-ordinate Roskilde University's sub-programmes in such fields as science and technologystudies, economics of innovation and science, technology and public policy. The major elements of theprogramme are: the Danish Ph.D. Network on the Study of Technical Change, the Doctoral Programmein Innovation Studies: Management, Institutions and Public Policy, and the International Network forPh.D. Studies in Sustainable Environmental Planning and Management.
