Program Overview
- Program Description:
This applied postgraduate programme develops students’ skills in intervention and audit strategies. Students carry out an intervention in an applied setting to either deal with populations or individuals particularly affected by levels of overweight. Through this experience, students acquire a good understanding of the factors playing a role in the development of obesity and strategies to tackle it. While study of the background covers the entire range of factors, interventions focus on social and
psychological interventions. This programme is suitable for healthcare professionals such as practice nurses, teachers,
sports coaches, and others interested in tackling obesity. The MSc would provide these groups with an additional qualification and a holistic view of a complex problem, as well as research and auditing skills.Key areas of study
