Program Description:
The graduate program in the Department of Art provides specialized training in individual studio areas (including graphic design) leading to the terminal degree in studio art. The M.F.A. program provides customized teaching to graduate students, often on a one-to-one basis. Students work closely with professors in specialized areas of expertise. The intimate nature of the program is a positive trait related to the program's moderate size. The interaction and interfacing of students involved in different media emphases is a strong feature.
