- Scandinavian Area Studies (SAS) at Odense University is the only program of its kind in Denmark. It is unique in its philosophy of matching the teaching of the Danish language from scratch with the presentation of Scandinavian cultural, social, political, economic, and historical life. The program runs for 15 weeks each autumn semester (beginning of September to mid-December) and consists of three courses offered by the Faculty of Humanities and three courses offered by the School of Business and Economics:
