Program Description:

The Education Specialist: Leadership program is a nationally-recognized program that prepares you for principalship and central office administrative positions in K-12 schools. The Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) Standards for school leaders are endorsed throughout your course of study. There are many reasons to consider the Education Specialist Program at OU: • The program follows a cohort model, with no more than 20 students per group • We focus on research and data analysis • You’ll form a mentorship with a recognized school leader • Classes are scheduled at convenient times for education professionals • Our faculty is renown The Education Specialist degree is a 22-month, cohort-structured program. Courses are generally scheduled on one week night and periodic Saturdays during the fall and winter terms. During summer term, courses meet two evenings per week. The action research project begins during the first semester and is presented during the final semester of the program.
