- The major focus of the M.Ed. program is the professional development of the classroom teacher. The formal coursework and the action research project are designed to strengthen the pedagogical knowledge and skills of the teacher, thus forming the "master teacher." Admission to the Master of Education program of Notre Dame College of Ohio is determined on the basis of intellectual capacity and potential for leadership as a master teacher.
