Program Description:

Preparing students for specific careers, the Department of Health & Human Performance at Northwestern State University offers concentrations in Sports Administration and Health Promotion. Sports Administration is an interdisciplinary concentration for those students with career aspirations to become athletic administrators, facility managers, sports information directors, coaches, or sports business personnel. The Health Promotion concentration is designed to prepare professionals to create, implement, and evaluate health promotion programs in hospital wellness centers, hospital rehabilitation areas, in community or school based health settings, and as corporate health promotion specialists.
