Program Description:

This programme is designed to enable you to acquire core theories, knowledge and skills, appropriate at MasterÆs degree level, in finance and financial information analysis, with the ability to apply these in practice.
This programme enables non-specialists to acquire the quantitative and qualitative skills of financial analysis and to gain an understanding of developments in international finance and accounting. The programme has a strong hands-on element and includes the analysis of real-life data from Datastream, the financial press, analystsÆ reports and accounts. Emphasis is also placed on the development of software/IT skills and other work-related skills through presentations, teamwork, literature reviews and producing reports.
You take compulsory modules (120 credits) in: international finance and capital markets; financial information analysis; techniques for data analysis; corporate strategy and valuation; accounting for analysts. You also complete a dissertation (60 credits), which requires you to carry out a comparative analysis of two companies based in different countries.
