Program Description:
This unique degree allows art educators to focus on the studio once again. Students will choose a studio concentration and devote the majority of their time to expanding and developing their own artistic skills. Art Education and Art History courses are designed to build connections between the personal studio practice and the art classroom. The MAAE program is designed for the certified, working educator. Courses in the spring and fall are completed during weekend workshops and through distance education to allow you flexibility to focus on your career. Summer studio courses are held on campus, with optional housing, to create an immersive studio environment.

Designed for certified educators who seek to expand their contemporary studio and educational practice, also open to private teachers who do not require certification. BA in Art Education or BFA highly suggested.
