- Program Description:
The programme is unique in its interdisciplinary content, which combines analysis of EU legal and governing spheres.
Also it is innovative in the way of teaching – alongside with the professors of Mykolas Romeris University, professors from the University of Montesquieu - Bordeaux IV will visit Mykolas Romeris University for the period of the specific course to teach it. Thus graduates of the programme shall be awarded with diplomas of both partners - Mykolas Romeris University and The University of Montesquieu -Bordeaux IV.
Content of studies – students study compulsory study courses such as: Institutional system of European Union/ EU Litigation; Internal Market Freedoms / Economic and Monetary Union; EU Trade Policy and Law in the Context of Global Economy; EU Foreign and Security Policy; Practice and Master’s thesis. Students also have an opportunity to make their studies more purposeful with choosing 4 of the 6 offered elective study courses: EU Policy of Economic, Social and Territorial Cohesion; EU Competition Law; Legal Regulation of Area of Freedom, Security and Justice; EU Environmental Law; EU Agriculture and Fisheries Policy and Law; EU Social Policy and Law.
- Setting Description:
- Purpose of studies – to prepare highly qualified Masters of EU Law and Governance, who have abilities of conceptual thinking, identifying the problems of EU legal regulation as well as the tendencies for the development of EU law and policy; to acquire competence for suggesting motivated solutions on various problems of implementation of EU law and of EU governance, in order to pursue improved effectiveness in implementing EU law, solving the problems of EU governance and upgrading the work of EU institutions; to form planning and organization skills of independent and collective work when applying and interpreting EU law.

- 4096 EUR. Result of studies: Persons who acquire a Master of Laws degree can work in international law offices of governmental institutions, international organizations including those of European Union’s, also as judges of county, district courts, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, practice in private enterprises, institutions, organizations, legal offices, Bar.
