- Program Description:
- This program is designed to prepare students to work in a wide range of jobs related to the production and economic uses of plants. Employment opportunities include crop production, biotechnology, nursery and seed production, landscape management, fruit production, winery operation, environmental preservation, agribusiness, teaching, research, and extension education. Students may also continue their education in a doctoral program.

- Requirements:
- 1. Meet all Graduate College admission requirements. If you do not meet the GPA requirement but are admitted based on your GRE scores, you must complete a minimum of nine hours of specified graduate course work before developing your program of study. 2. Submit GRE scores from the general test portion 3. Possess an undergraduate degree in a natural or applied science, including one semester of genetics and one semester of organic chemistry 4. Contact the School of Agriculture to schedule a meeting with the graduate coordinator 5. Receive a positive evaluation from the graduate coordinator prior to being recommended for admittance
