- This Graduate Certificate program is structured around key policy and organizational problems involving homeland security and prepares you to master core issues, principles and problem-solving approaches that can be applied to specific challenges in homeland security. The program is also affiliated with the Naval Postgraduate School, which was commissioned to develop graduate programs in homeland security and defense. This certificate is offered as both a stand-alone certificate program and as an addition to a graduate program.

- To be considered for the program, a student must have a 2.75 grade point average and be admitted to the Graduate College. Students who do not meet this criterion, but demonstrate potential for success through career experience, may be admitted at the discretion of the certificate advisor and with the approval of the dean of the Graduate College.
