Program Description:

The EdS degree is often a major step up in career advancement. Missouri State’s program is tailored to working teachers, counselors and mental health professionals who desire to further their career as a school psychological examiner. Courses are offered through alternative delivery options, included seated, online and concentrated classes. Successful completion of the specialist degree program prepares you for licensure as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and reduces the number of post-degree supervision hours required for the LPC from 3,000 to 1,500. As an EdS graduate, you will earn DESE certification in the following areas: - School Psychological Examiner and Elementary School Counselor - School Psychological Examiner and Secondary School Counselor - School Psychological Examiner and K-12 School Counselor
