Program Description:

The Department of Geography offers the Master of Arts (M.A.) degree. Our rigorous and flexible programs provide you with a level of instruction and guidance that allows you to become a professional geographer. Our graduates are prepared for entry level technical and managerial positions in city, state, and federal governmental agencies, and in a variety of business and industrial firms. At the same time, the M.A. program prepares you to qualify for admission to a Ph.D. program in geography or a related discipline.
