Program Description:
This program has 40 faculty and laboratories engaged in four main concentrations of modern biomedical research: biomedical imaging, organ physiology, molecular biophysics, and biomechanics. Strong areas of emphasis include image processing and visualization, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound imaging, X-ray CT, nuclear imaging, confocal and atomic force microscopy, ion channels, functional genomics, cardiovascular physiology, respiratory physiology, renal physiology, gastrointestinal physiology, fluid mechanics, biomechanical stress analysis, biomaterials and tissue engineering.
