Program Description:
MRP (Master of Resource and Environmental Planning)

Students may enrol in this programme with first degrees in any related discipline, including planning, on a full-time or part-time basis. Students take a combination of papers along with a thesis or research project. A feature of our graduate programme is the delivery of our papers in different modes - block teaching as well as weekly classes - which provides for people in full-time employment. The degree is recognised by the New Zealand Planning Institute.

Dip GIS (Diploma in Geographic and Information Systems)

This is a one year course for students who have a degree in any discipline or practical experience in GIS. It aims to give students a sufficiently broad knowledge of GIS so that they can apply it in many contexts The Diploma may be taken internally but for those people unable to attend Massy full-time papers are offered in a mixture of delivery modes.

PhD (Doctor of Philosophy)

For those who wish to pursue an advanced degree, the School offers supervision for PhD candidates. Students with a Masters degree or equivalent honours degree in Planning or closely related subjects are eligible to enrol.
