- Our Master of Arts degree in Studio Art is a 36-credit program with an 18-credits concentration. The Master of Arts in Studio Art is intended for graduates of schools and departments of art/art education who want to develop their talents as studio artists, illustrators, graphic designers or interior architects. Study with outstanding practitioners in these fields acts as a springboard for further professional growth and education. CORE COURSES 9 semester hours *Design Research *Seminar *Art History elective *Art Criticism or *Aesthetics CONCENTRATION IN STUDIO ART 18 semester hours At least eighteen semester hours must be taken in the chosen studio field. ART ELECTIVES 9 semester hours The remaining nine semester hours may be chosen from courses offered in studio areas or art history other than the field of concentration. PROFESSIONAL CONTRIBUTION (NO CREDIT) Exhibit in the art gallery at Marywood is required of each student at a designated time prior to graduation.
