- Program Description:
- The College now offers a degree course leading to the award of Master of Arts in Music Education. This is the first ever taught Masters programme in Music Education to be offered in Ireland. The course involves an exploration of music and music learning processes from a range of social science perspectives and involves interdisciplinary studies in Education, Music and other related fields. The course is offered in a choice of 2 formats, with participants choosing either a one-year full-time or a two-year part-time programme. Participants will be required to complete five modules and a dissertation. The course is intended for: (i) Teachers in primary, post-primary or music schools (ii) Community/Outreach and Curriculum Support personnel.
