- In the ENHS program, we study the influences of the natural or man-made environment on human health. Examples of these influences on human health outcomes include the impact of global climate changes, pesticides in foods, drinking water supplies, air pollution, work-related exposures and injuries, and natural and manmade disasters. The field of ENHS encompasses many disciplines including air quality, industrial hygiene, water quality, occupational and industrial health, health risk assessment, hazardous materials management, toxicology, disaster planning and preparedness, and emergency response management. The ENHS Program was designed to provide scientific and public health training to graduate students committed to protecting the environment and to improving the health of workers and the general public.
