Program Description:

This course aims at preparing graduates to work in the areas of software engineering and information systems in the industry, with particular emphasis on the activities of enterprise-wide information systems development and integration, web-based services and information management.

The course aims at enabling students to understand both the technologies involved in the above tasks, as well as the wider methodological issues that affect their success in modern enterprises. The range of topics offered includes topics such as methods for data and information management across the enterprise, methods and issues that relate to the design of such systems and integrate them with the business, security issues, and tools and techniques for enterprise information systems development. Students will also be exposed to research methods and issues to help them with their dissertation, but these techniques are also useful in problem solving in practical situations in general.
