- Aims of the course The course aims to bring together the disciplines of business economics and finance in a form that will equip you with the skills necessary for positions of responsibility in national and international companies. The taught modules provide an in-depth knowledge of the theoretical and applied aspects of both business economics and finance as relevant to the needs of professional economists and managers. The research component introduces you to alternative research strategies and methodological issues, and provides training in the management and reporting of a research project in the area of business economics and finance. Entry requirements Normally a lower second class Honours degree or equivalent in economics or one containing a significant amount of economics, such as finance, business studies or management studies. Applicants with substantial relevant professional experience will also be considered. Exemptions from specific modules will be investigated. Those without the standard requirements can attend the Graduate Diploma Course prior to enrolling on this course.
