Program Description:

The doctoral program is designed to provide students with a unique, interdisciplinary core curriculum in social science, social ethics, and social policy.

Research preparation includes both quantitative and qualitative methods which encourage rigorous empirical analysis. Applied research skills are developed for program evaluation, outcomes assessment, and policy analysis. Information technology is emphasized through the use of software for statistics (SPSS), case management (Client Track), geographic information systems (GIS), research data bases (SQL), and the Internet.
