Program Description:

Biostatisticians play an important role in a wide variety of health and biomedical investigations that explore the frontiers of man's knowledge. A biostatistician typically serves on a research and management team with the specific responsibility of guiding the design, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data. A biostatistician may also be involved in projects which require the development of statistical methodology in terms of refinement of old methods or development of new methods of analysis to handle data that depart from traditional models.
