Requirements:
• Applicants must meet Loma Linda University and the School of Behavioral Health admissions requirements; providing evidence of their academic ability, professionalism, and mature judgment. Those who meet these requirements, as well as the published deadlines, may apply to enroll during the Fall and Winter quarters. • Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in the social sciences or equivalent from a regionally accredited college or university. • The minimum grade point average must be 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in bachelor's course work for at least the final 45 units prior to graduation. • Official transcripts. • Three letters of recommendation. • Written statement of purpose for applying to the Child Life Specialist program. • Volunteer experience under the direction of a Certified Child Life Specialist is highly recommended. • Interviews are scheduled with department faculty. • The Graduate Record Exam is not required.
International Requirements:
International students whose native language is not English are requirement to pass an English proficiency exam. The following exams are accepted by Loma Linda University: TOEFL: scores must be valid for two years from the test date. Minimum score is 80-internet based or 550-paper based IELTS: scores must be valid for two years from the test date.
