The Lenoir-Rhyne Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program is designed for students who have earned a non-education undergraduate degree and wish to pursue middle grades or secondary teacher licensure. The MAT program is either an intensive one year residency model focusing on directed clinical practice under the collaborative supervision of public school and university faculty or a part-time, online/hybrid program that offers convenience for students who are working full-time.
