Program Description:

An MA degree is the entry-level degree for persons entering the counseling field. The Master of Arts degree in counseling is designed to prepare individuals for positions as professional counselors in agencies and/or school settings. The program places a primary emphasis on the development of strong clinical skills. Options include clinical mental health counseling, school counseling, a dual program for licensure in both school counseling and clinical mental health counseling, and an add- on certificate in christian counseling.
