The student will be acquainted with the history of Old Testament Literature, Early Jewish Literature, and/or Early Christian Literature of the first two centuries CE, including the New Testament writings, according to the area(s) chosen. The student will be able to interpret texts belonging to the traditions mentioned in the original languages, using standard historical methods.
