In the option 'Electronics and Integrated Circuits', you will learn how to design and create electronic and integrated circuits for a wide range of electronic systems in telecommunications, audio- and sensor applications, biomedical systems and power electronics.
In the option 'Embedded Systems and Multimedia', focus is placed on the design of novel applications. This encompasses the processing, transmission and security aspects of digital signals (with emphasis on multimedia) and their implementation in embedded systems.
This is an initial Master's programme and can be followed on a full-time or part-time basis.

At the end of the programme, the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering has acquired a general knowledge that enables him to participate in state-of-the-art design and production activities of electrotechnical hardware and software. The student will possess a general active knowledge in the field of all basic aspects and methods of electronic information processing and in the specialised fields of integrated electronics, multimedia and signal processing, and telecommunications. He/she will be able to apply that knowledge in a creative manner, to broaden it, and to formalise it for efficient reuse. The student will be able to have the skills and techniques for "lifelong learning" in his/her field of study.
