Program Overview

Program Description:
Since its establisment, the Faculty of Nursing has witnessed a rapid growth through continuous development and updating of basic and graduate nursing programs. We believe in continuous review and restructuring of the nursing curricula in response to increased national and international demands on health care services, increased use of complex information technology systems, and changing health care needs of the community. As the largest school in the region, we currently have a student body of 2300 graduate and undergraduate nursing students from eleven nationalities. The Faculty continues to respond to the market needs of nursing staff regionally and internationally. Graduates of our programs are also sought by local, regional, and international health care and educational institutions. The Faculty of Nursing hosts well-qualified faculty members, the majority of whom graduated from internationally recognized universities in the USA and UK. The Faculty is now consolidating its success by offering quality nursing programs, research activities, and development of national and international ties. Although the Faculty is relatively young, it is recognized for its relations with well known international universities and health care agencies. The Faculty of Nursing was accredited, in 1998, by The Canadian International Agency, and the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada, following intensive revision and evaluation. Furthermore, the Faculty of Nursing earned first rank in the National Competency Exam.
