Program Overview
- Program Description:
- An MBA with an emphasis in International Business provides you with management skills and leadership strengths that enable you to excel in your area of calling, enable and empower your colleagues and be "light and salt" in the world. Not only will you strengthen your management skills in accounting, marketing, economics and finance, you will also develop leadership skills in international operations as well as learn how to apply business management in a global environment. As part of your educational experience, you will spend time applying what you learn in an international setting through a required one-two week international trip.

- John Brown University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission* and is a member of the North Central Association. JBU has also received specialized accreditation for its Graduate Business programs through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) in Olathe, Kansas, and is a candidate for accreditation with the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

- To be eligible for any of JBU's graduate degree programs you must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. US citizens must also submit an application and a $35 non-refundable application fee, official transcripts from all universities attended, graduate recommendation forms from three people (non-family members), a 200-word essay describing professional plans and reason for seeking acceptance into JBU's Graduate School, immunization records as required by the Arkansas Department of Health for all students, and official exam scores from graduate level entrance exams, if required. An entrance exam is NOT required for graduate business applicants whose undergraduate GPA is 3.0 or above. Applicants whose undergraduate GPA is below 3.0 may take the MAT, GMAT or GRE and must earn a 383 on the MAT, an 1100 on the GMAT or a 1000 on the GRE (if taken before 8/1/11; 300 if taken after 8/1/11). International students must also submit an application and $100 non-refundable application fee, official transcripts from all universities attended, three letters of recommendation, official TOEFL test scores, immunization record including date of measles/rubella vaccination (if you plan to be enrolled for 12 or more hours during a semester), proof of health insurance, official documents showing ability to pay college costs or an Affidavit of Support (US Citizenship and Immigration Services form I-134 available through the International Programs Office) completed by a US sponsor, deposit for one year covering the cost of tuition for one year, official exam scores from graduate level entrance exams, if required.
