Program Description:
The Master of Arts in Media and Communication (MA-MC) program is designed for young professionals interested in pursuing a career in media and communications. In addition to core business courses, The Master of Arts in Media and Communication trains young professionals to be future communication managers with courses in theory and practice: communication and media theory, intercultural communications, press and journalism, planning and evaluating communications, multimedia, executive communications and international marketing. The Master of Arts in Media and Communication provides a comprehensive introduction to today’s issues and challenges in media and communications: what is the role of the communications manager? How is new media re-shaping the media landscape? How can organizations and individuals communicate effectively in a global and multicultural environment? Key benefits of the Master of Arts in Media and Communication include: an overview of the dominant theories of media and communications; practical skills in managing communications in organizations and companies; insight into the latest developments in media tools and related-business areas; exposure to how global organizations communicate strategically and evaluate their initiatives. The Master of Arts in Media and Communication is comprised of 14 courses taken over one year in the evenings. Master of Arts in Media and Communication graduates have gone on to lead and manage communication and media projects for multinationals, governments and international organizations.

Requirements:
There is no minimum work experience requirement for the Post Graduate Program but all applicants must hold an undergraduate degree from a recognized university. Applicants are selected based on previous academic excellence, intellectual ability, capacity for academic achievement, international outlook and interpersonal qualifications that suggest strong leadership potential.
International Requirements:
Students applying to the IUG graduate program must submit the following: A completed application form Official Transcripts of all undergraduate programs attended certified in English A certified copy of an undergraduate degree (in English) A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.7 A minimum score of 80 (Internet based test) or 213 (computer based test) on the TOEFL test or another equivalent English proficiency test. To submit the TOEFL test score to the International University in Geneva (IUG), please enter IUG's institutional code number (0130) when you take the test. A Curriculum Vitae / Resume stating any relevant professional work experience A letter of reference, preferably from an employer Two passport size photos A non-refundable application fee of Swiss Francs CHF150.- or Euros € 100.- or USD 140.-
