- In addition to core international trade courses with a focus on world trade and international finance, trade organizations and statistics, trade policy and promotion strategies, commercial law and economic diplomacy, the Master in International Trade curriculum trains young professionals for decision making positions with courses in foreign policy and geoeconomics, international commercial law and corporate social responsibility, executive communication and cross-cultural negotiations. The Master in International Trade program provides a comprehensive introduction to practical aspects of successful trade promotion and trade relations techniques combined with an understanding of the role of the major international trade organizations in setting policy and standards that govern global trade. The program includes visits to major international trade organizations in Geneva. Key benefits of the Master in International Trade program include: learning in a dynamic environment with a multicultural student body and faculty working in international economic and commercial relations; providing knowledge and skills to assess major trade issues, draft policy documents and negotiate for government, international organization or corporate sector; exploring economic and commercial decision making, current and future trade issues and developments; gaining insight into world trade, international finance and trade promotion strategies from national and regional to global level. The Master in International Trade program is comprised of 14 courses taken over one year in the evenings. Master in International Trade graduates engage in decision-making careers in public sector – diplomatic services and trade ministries, international trade organizations (WTO, UNECE, UNCTAD, ITC, IMF, WORLD BANK) – corporate business and banking.

- Requirements:
- The International University in Geneva welcomes applications from graduate candidates who wish to continue their studies directly following the completion of their undergraduate degree, or following a period of acquired work experience. The International University in Geneva offers five different Masters: Master of Business Administration, Master in International Business, Master of Arts in Media and Communication, Master in International Trade Relations, Master in International Relations. There is no minimum work experience requirement for the Post Graduate Program but all applicants must hold an undergraduate degree from a recognized university. Applicants are selected based on previous academic excellence, intellectual ability, capacity for academic achievement, international outlook and interpersonal qualifications that suggest strong leadership potential.

- Students applying to the IUG graduate program must submit the following: A completed application form Official Transcripts of all undergraduate programs attended certified in English A certified copy of an undergraduate degree (in English) A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.7 A minimum score of 80 (Internet based test) or 213 (computer based test) on the TOEFL test or another equivalent English proficiency test. To submit the TOEFL test score to the International University in Geneva (IUG), please enter IUG's institutional code number (0130) when you take the test.
