- Program Description:
- The mission of the Department of School Psychology, Literacy, and Special Education is to develop professional educators who contribute to and utilize research based assessments and interventions to produce effective and efficient learning outcomes for ALL individuals. The Department of School Psychology, Literacy and Special Education offers the following graduate degrees: Education Specialist in School Psychology, Education Specialist in Special Education, Master of Education with Literacy Emphasis, Master of Education in Human Exceptionality and Master of Education in Deaf Education.

- International: International students (whose native language is not English) must achieve satisfactory scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). (1) TOEFL Exam: Total score of 80 with a score of at least 20 on each section (2) IELTS Exam: 6.5 or higher on the overall band (3) Level 112 from ELS Language Centers also meets the English language proficiency requirements. Students must contact the Graduate School at graddean@isu.edu before applying for ELS conditional admission in order to verify that the program of interest offers conditional admission.
