Program Description:

IBat is an independent college located beside the thriving, cosmopolitan city of Dublin in Ireland. The college currently has students from every continent in the world, creating a unique and enriching multicultural and educational experience.

IBaT delivers high quality, internationally-recognised courses for international students - including Business Degree programmes, professional Accountancy qualifications (ACCA) and Certificate courses in E-Business, Business English etc. These internationally recognised qualifications are awarded by HETAC and FETAC and are the equivalent to a university qualification. As an independently run college, our fees are much more competitive than many of the University-run programs.

Other benefits to studying at IBat include our student mentoring service, the online student networking system and an intimate and interactive classroom style - ensuring each student gets the attention they require. Our lecturers are carefully chosen, not only for their academic achievements, but also for their extensive work experience, which allows them to impart practical knowledge and prepare students for their chosen career. Don't forget, students on a full-time (minimum 15 hrs per week for 1 yr) programme are entitled to work part-time (up to 20 hours per week during term and full-time during holidays).

This FETAC Level 5 programme has been designed to provide the student with an appreciation and understanding of the concepts, issues and insights in business. This programme will provide students with the relevant knowledge and skills to enable them to make a significant contribution within modern business, commercial or administrative environments.

This course aims to equip students to meet the needs of a growing economy for personnel with business administration and information technology skills. Students will be introduced to the diverse aspects that comprise a business enterprise or other organisation. They will also gain an understanding of the concepts and processes of management. Opportunities exist for those who meet the qualifications at Higher Certificate level to Bachelor Degree level.

Certification
This programme has been designed in consultation with FETAC, the Further Education & Training Awards Council, to provide a pathway to students to further professional qualifications such as progression to the Higher Certificate and Bachelor Degree and directly into employment.Graduates may find employment in a variety of business positions where knowledge of either business or administration is either a requirement or a definite asset. The blend of business skills and work experience gained by students on this programme makes them attractive candidates for a range of employment opportunities. Work experience is undertaken as part of this course.

Setting Description:

Ireland has long excelled in the field of education - it is still known as the Island of Saints and Scholars.
