Program Description:

Established in 1991, HKUST carries a vision to be a leading university with strong local commitment and significant international impact.  We were the first in Asia to be awarded dual accreditation by AACSB in the U.S. and EQUIS in Europe. HKUST has been regarded as the region’s premier business learning center and its MBA program has been consistently ranked no.1 in Asia by The Economist and world No. 9 by Financial Times in 2010.

The full-time faculty members from over 15 countries are all PhD qualified which assures the MBA students of learning from the best.  Top executives holding leading positions in multinational firms are invited to join the school as adjunct faculty to provide students with substantial industrial insights.

Electives encompass over 35 percent of the program curriculum and a wide variety of over 70 different electives offering allow our part-time MBA students to develop expertise in specific areas of their interests. Optional concentrations in China Business and Financial Services are available.  Part-time MBA students will take class together with full-time MBA students of over 25 nationalities and exchange-in students from 56 leading partners’ schools in 17 countries around the world. They may also apply for exchange program and spend a semester at one of these overseas partner schools to broaden their international outlook. Corporate visits and industry talks covering hot topics like China business, entrepreneurship, aftershock of economic tsunami and green business delivered by business leaders are available from time to time to broaden students’ horizon and insights on different industries.  Various networking opportunities through series of student and alumni gatherings and recruitment talks will further enrich students’ network for career development.
