Program Description:

Many of our students are already actively engaged in public service at the state and local government levels. The Master in Public Administration (MPA) program provides the knowledge and tools they need to enhance their careers, as both managers of public employees and administrators meeting the fiduciary responsibilities of expending tax dollars. The Advanced Studies in Public Administration programs are directed toward practicing public program administrators and those working in closely related areas. Each of the programs (doctorate and certificate) is ideal for seasoned employees interested in state and local policy issues who wish to strengthen their knowledge and skills to continue their public service or for those individuals preparing for a career transition to consult or teach. The Hamline University Graduate School of Management prepares people at the master's and doctoral levels to enhance the quality of leadership, service, and collaboration within and among government, business, and nonprofit organizations.
