Program Overview

Program Description:
The programme offers an interdisciplinary approach focusing on development policies and practices. Students acquire an in-depth knowledge and expertise in North-South relations and global development issues, including: climate change and environmental damage, natural resources and energy supply, security and armed conflict, migration and diasporas, globalisation, poverty and inequality, public health, commercial and financial flows and development. Core classes cover anthropological, economical, environmental, gender, health and poverty issues. Candidates complete two-years of full time studies (120 credits ECTS) broken down in core, complementary and elective courses and write a field-work oriented research dissertation. Candidates can acquire credits through an internship and/or spend one semester during the second year of studies in a partner institution

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in anthropology, sociology, law, economics, history, political science, geography – or a related discipline, or an interdisciplinary Bachelor’s degree in development studies or international relations.
