The Goddard MA in Individualized Studies offers support and guidance for projects whose purpose and scope demand exploration beyond and across established academic and artistic boundaries. Graduate studies in the program are aimed at the integration of knowledge, personal development, and social action. The pursuit of knowledge is defined not only as intellectual endeavor, but as transformative practice. Conversely, action is informed by broad and profound intellectual inquiry. The mission of the MA in Individualized Studies program is to foster the development of knowledge, practices, and modes of inquiry that represent a genuine attempt to offer new perspectives, in a world affected by huge transformative forces. The Goddard MA in Individualized Studies degree program offers a holistic, interdisciplinary and student-centered approach to learning that is personally and socially relevant and transformative.
