Program Description:

The Department of English offers programs leading to the Master of Arts (M.A.) in English, with several specializations (literature in English, creative writing, and rhetoric and composition); the Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Creative Writing (poetry or fiction); and the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), also with several specializations (literature in English, creative writing, and rhetoric and composition), an interdisciplinary degree, and a degree in writing for mass audiences.
