Requirements:
All applicants must have the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree with a B or better average. All applicants must also submit a statement of purpose; the general aptitude scores of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE); transcripts of all previous undergraduate and graduate course work; and three letters of recommendation. The statement of purpose should indicate how the IPED curriculum will prepare you to reach your future career goals. The statement of purpose should also indicate if you are applying for any special fellowships (Arrupe, Global Markets, Public Service, Peace Corps).
To gain admission to the IPED Program applicants should score at or above 152 on the quantitative GRE and 156 on the verbal GRE. For international students, TOEFL scores substitute for the verbal GRE. Previous professional work experience is playing a larger role in the admissions process, especially for those who wish to specialize in international development studies.
International Requirements:
International applicants must also submit their score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The minimum acceptable score on the new version of the TOEFL is 100.
