Program Overview

Program Description:
The Masters of Social Work program moved from its location in Tarrytown, New York in the fall of 2008. The School offers a long tradition of both social work education and a commitment to social justice. The program can be taken over a 2 to 4 year period, and offers advanced standing to students who qualify-- those possessing a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited program. Areas of concentration in the School include Clinical Social Work, Leadership and Macro practice, Client Centered Management and Practice in Social Work in Research. Students are generally required to complete two academic years of field work placement, (internship). However there are exceptions to this requirement for specifically qualified applicant, Advanced Standing students, or students with a minimum of experience in the social service field. Students at the Westchester campus can complete the entire MSW program at this location. Field Work placement is arranged a geographically close to the students home as is possible (in NY NJ or CT). This is an excellent choice for those residing north of new York City.
