The Twentieth-Century Literary Studies MA caters for those who wish to specialise in this area of English Literature. Studying with acknowledged experts in the subject, you will write a dissertation on the subject of your choice. Durham is one of the best English Departments in the country, offering the opportunity to study at the highest level in a beautiful environment.
You will choose two modules from the Twentieth-Century Literary Studies set on offer and your dissertation will concentrate on an area related to that specialism. You may take a further module from any of the English MA modules on offer. All students must take the core Research Methods and Resources module.

- We welcome applications from overseas students, who should be proficient in spoken and written English. We prefer IELTS, with a miniumum overall score of 7.5 including a 7 in writing; or TOEFL PBT (paper-based):625 ; or IBT (internet-based) 113. Successful applicants may also wish to consider a Pre-Sessional English course at the Language Centre in Durham.
