The Language Centre provides high quality English language teaching expertise for students at all levels; pre-university entry, undergraduate and postgraduate.  The Centre also plays a central role in enhancing the experience of both home and international students.

The Centre's TESOL MA programme offers excellent opportunities to develop careers in English Language teaching for those starting out in the field.  Designed for anyone with an interest in the wider aspects of teaching English as a foreign language, this MA combines innovative classroom practices with an understanding of issues such as language structure and research methodology.

Students for this MA will be required to complete three core modules (Syllabus Design and Assessment, Language for Teaching and Language Teaching Methods & Practice) in addition to choosing three further elective modules and submitting a dissertation.

 

International Requirements:

For non-native English speakers, an IELTS minimum score or 7.0, with at least 6.5 in each section is required.
