International residencies and other integrated experiences provide practical meaning and context to academic lessons, and a Drexel LeBow advisor helps each student develop a personal career-advancement plan based on his or her experience, strengths and goals. This customized, co-curricular skills training also connects MBA students with a prominent guest speakers and visitors, as well as with LeBow’s far-reaching network of alumni and other business leaders. In addition, LeBow College recognizes that being an entrepreneur is a way of thinking, and the MBA curriculum encourages innovative thought leadership that helps students and alumni stand apart from the crowd. Most have consulted or worked full-time for Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and other organizations. Many have international experience. Students in most of the Drexel LeBow MBA programs begin by taking accelerated and intensive introductory courses in accounting, finance and economics. That is followed by a core that consists of nine required classes in fields such as marketing, management, statistics, organizational behavior and other subjects. Students then choose from elective courses offered by our Centers of Excellence in corporate governance, corporate reputation management, entrepreneurship and strategic leadership. Students also select classes offered by the concentration of their choice: finance, entrepreneurship and innovation management, marketing or business analytics.
