Program Description:

The interactive online graduate program in nutrition combines advanced study in nutrition and health promotion with a unique, competency-based curriculum that provides nutrition and other health professionals with a broad perspective of current issues in nutrition research, social media, counseling and health coaching, program planning, sustainable food issues and public health. Emphasis areas include healthy aging and a holistic approach to disease prevention; entrepreneurial nutrition practice; and sports nutrition and wellness. The online program allows you the flexibility to complete coursework while being fully employed. The Program emphasizes ways to incorporate new research and technology, evidence-based applications, and entrepreneurial skills into the practice of nutrition. This program prepares students for a variety of career opportunities in business, government, health care, and education. Graduates work in private practice, nutrition education, school systems, food and pharmaceutical industries, clinical and corporate research, community organizations, hospitals, public health agencies, worksite wellness and health promotion programs, supermarkets, and fitness facilities.
